The story behind Fatboy

Fatboy's iconic beanbags combine high quality with exclusive design. Inspired by the music of Fatboy Slim, Finnish designer Jukka Setalla seemed to be at the forefront of design. But it was Dutchman Alex Bergman who revolutionised the product in 2002 by creating a brand around it, proving that Fatboy could really sell itself.

Fatboy Original Bean Bag is oversized, adaptable, durable yet soft and comfortable. They are available in a wide range of nylon fabric colours with a protective inner lining.

The Fatboy Original waterproof bean bag has a separate inner removable bag that makes it easy to clean the outer cover. It has both a zip and sealed Velcro fastening. The Original Fatboy beanbag is not intended for outdoor use, but the outer cover can be easily wiped clean with lukewarm water and soap and can therefore be used outdoors. Its nylon outer fabric is also waterproof, so it can handle a little juice or ice cream spilled on it.

This Fatboy beanbag can be transformed into a comfortable, relaxing daybed when the sun is shining and you just want to chill out.

It all started with a famous beanbag designed in 1998 by Finnish designer Jukka Sätälä. Although Fatboy started out as a small design laboratory focusing on just a few beanbags, the company now offers much more than that.
