The story behind Fatboy

Fatboy's iconic seats combine high quality with exclusive design. Inspired by the music of Fatboy Slim, Finnish designer Jukka Setalla seemed to be at the forefront of design. But it was Dutchman Alex Bergman who revolutionised the product in 2002 by creating a brand around it, proving that Fatboy really could sell itself.

The Fatboy brand is a strategy for the one-dimensional life and includes giant lamps, magical huge rugs and stools that create an ‘entertaining life’.

The Fatboy Original Bean Bag is oversized, customisable, durable yet soft and comfortable. They are available in a wide range of nylon fabric colours that have a protective inner lining.

The Fatboy Original waterproof seat bag has a separate inner removable bag that makes it easy to clean the outer cover. It also has a zip and velcro fastening. The Original Fatboy Beanbag is not intended for outdoor use, but the outer bag can be easily wiped clean with lukewarm water and soap and can therefore be used outdoors. Its nylon outer fabric is also waterproof so it can withstand a little juice or ice cream being spilled on it.

This Fatboy seat can be turned into a comfortable, reclining daybed when the sun is a little too hot and you just want to relax.

A product portfolio that just keeps on growing

It all started with a berm seat designed in 1998 by Finnish designer Jukka Set. Although Fatboy started as a small design lab focusing on just a few beanbags above all, the company offers much more than it does today.
