Skinnwille- A Swedish family business
Skinnwille is a Swedish family business founded by Geron Wilhemsson in Falköping in 1922 when he started his first company. Word of the high quality products spread quickly and as demand increased, the business expanded with the employment of several skilled professionals to process the skins. In 1934, the business expanded to Gothenburg and Nora, and both imports and exports took off. Today, Skinnwille buys skins from many parts of the world and the products have been developed and refined.
The company is now run by the third generation, with retailers all over the world, and the love of the material and craftsmanship is the same now as it was then. Many people wonder how Skinnwille got its name. It is a fusion of the word ‘Skinn’ and the name Wilhelmsson.
Sheepskin, goatskin and cowhides are natural materials that have been used by humans for millennia. The unique properties of sheepskin are hard to find elsewhere. They warm in winter and keep cool in summer. No two skins are ever the same, making each unique in shape and texture.
