Umage - Danish Design
Umage is a Danish word that means ‘to make an effort’ or ‘to do one's best,’ and that is what Umage strives to do every day. With fantastic Danish design, high-quality materials and a genuine concern for the environment, Umage meets the world with affordable furniture and interior design details.
Umage was founded in 2008 by two Danish gentlemen named Jacob Nannestad and Søren Ravn Christensen.
Inspired by nature
Nature has a positive influence on all of us, instilling a peaceful sense of lightness, an earthy colour palette and organic shapes and patterns. Umage wants to bring this feeling into your home by combining solid materials from nature with refined shapes, colours and ideas about modern city life. Umage creates timeless, sustainable and functional designs to preserve nature and take responsibility for the environment.
Flexible and functional furniture
One of the key aspects of Umage's furniture and lighting design is versatility and flexibility. Most of Umage's lampshades can be used as wall lamps, floor lamps and ceiling lamps. The philosophy of designing with more than one function in mind is once again a sustainable way of thinking that reduces the number of products you need to buy to complete your home décor.
