The enveloping shape of the Catena low sofa is inspired by a beanbag and offers generous dimensions that maximise relaxation and comfort, something we call low living. The name Catena comes from the Latin word for chain and alludes to the chain curve that occurs when a chain or cable is supported only at the ends, a movement reflected in the sofa's soft lines and top-stitched seams. The modular parts are filled with innovative microcellular foam that combines long-lasting durability with a supple seating experience.

Developed in collaboration with the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, the striped fabric captures the graphic simplicity of the museum's iconic architecture. The classic yet bold stripes are inspired by the long wooden slats and black window frames that characterise Louisiana, while the black and sand colour scheme creates a harmonious balance. The wool-based, textured surface invites touch and emphasises the tactile quality of the design.

To meet the modern home environment, the sofa is equipped with a removable cover that can be easily taken off for cleaning. Discreet Velcro fasteners under the sofa keep the fabric elegantly in place. The inner frame is made of FSC® certified wood, ensuring a responsible choice of materials.
