You've been invited to your neighbour's house, and the barbecue is lit. You're looking forward to a great evening, but unfortunately... both the chimney lighter and the briquettes are missing. How are you going to get that real barbecue flavour? Don't worry. Weber's gas grill is equipped with so-called Flavorizer® Bars, which are located just above the gas burners. The Flavorizer® Bars not only provide a delicious barbecue flavour, but also protect the gas burners from dripping fat, so they don't get clogged. A barbecue evening is assured!

Tips & Tricks

Keeping your Flavorizer® Bars clean is easy. Start by turning all the burner tubes up to maximum, put the lid on and let the grill run for 15 minutes. If you have a cast iron grill grate, remove it before you start. Then turn off the burner tubes and let the grill cool down. Remove all Flavorizer® Bars and brush them with a stainless steel or brass grill brush.

But don't do it too often - a couple of times a year is enough. That's because it's the fat and oil - both from the food and from the Flavorizer® Bars - that evaporate and help give food that real barbecue flavour.
