H55 recliner teak

The H55 recliner was designed by Björn Hultén for the Helsingborg exhibition in 1955. The idea was to create a piece of furniture for both indoor and outdoor use, which could withstand both water and wind, but at the same time look good enough to serve as a chair in the living room. However, the Swedish furniture market was not ready for the chair at the time of the exhibition and it would be some time into the 1990s before Berga Form took up H55 in production. Björn Hultén soon became one of the country's most hired interior designers.

The H55 recliner is made of teak, textile and stainless steel and can be adjusted in four different steps.
