Lighting in Danish design

The story of Herstal began in 1987 in Odense, Denmark, when Martin Herstal and his wife Lotte moved to the city and took over a small lamp shop. Their dream was to design their own lamps, and this dream became Herstal. The lamps are halogen-based with a playful and urban style, which has made Herstal lamps a natural part of many Scandinavian homes over the years.

Since its inception, Herstal has continued to evolve, but never compromised on its goal of combining energetic and playful design with well-thought-out lighting in every lamp. This is something that runs through all of its lamps, whether they are outdoor lamps, floor lamps, table lamps or ceiling lamps.

Today, Herstal is part of Belid and continues to develop with the same values and goals, but with a modern touch.
