Wood is a living material that can absorb and release moisture, which can lead to surface cracks over time. However, these do not affect the strength or function of the furniture. If there is any discoloration around the knots, these will fade naturally with sunlight over time.

If the furniture is exposed to temperatures above 38°C, a natural process can cause resin to seep out of the wood. When the furniture cools down, the resin solidifies and can easily be scraped off.
