Sofa Byarum 155cm natural / oiled mahogany

The model originally dates back to the 1860s and was called the station sofa. The reason for this nickname was that one stood at every other railway station.
The decorative sofa gave travellers the opportunity to sit down and rest for a while. The product is part of the Byarum series, which consists of a sofa, stool, bench, armchair and table. 

Classic outdoor furniture from Byarums Bruk

Byarums Bruk in Småland manufactures park and garden furniture, planters, products for urban spaces and more. All in sand moulded castings. The production at Byarum consists of a mix of classic models and modern design. The oldest model is dated 1780, the latest is brand new. So today, Byarum manufactures products that have been designed over four centuries, and all products are made at the foundry in Byarum.

In the Byarum foundry, we work exclusively according to older, artisanal methods, known as raw sand moulding. This means that for each part to be cast, they make a mould from natural sand and water without chemical binders. The mould is then filled with molten metal, and the cast piece emerges. In this way, each moulded part is unique.
