Garden sheds in high quality and functionality

The story of Biohort started in the 1970s with the production of wooden garden sheds in the Normstahl factory in Austria. In 1994 Biohort was founded and in 1997 Josef Priglinger took over 100% of Normstahl's shares in Biohort. By the turn of the millennium, Biohort was already present in most Austrian DIY and hobby shops and became increasingly well known in the German-speaking world, before establishing itself as the market leader throughout Europe.

In the early days, Biohort produced a variety of wooden garden sheds, metal compost bins and planning sheds. The wooden farm shed Europa was introduced in 1996 and is still a classic that stands the test of time. More and more models were added and now every year a new idea is presented by Biohort. The company also works actively to improve existing products in the range. Biohort has always manufactured its products in Austria, something they are very proud of. They now have three large plants in the western Mühlviertel region.
