Tobias Exterior Teak Table is a timeless and elegant dining table designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1935. The table was originally created for the villa of wholesaler Helge Wandel, an architectural masterpiece designed by Jacobsen in the 1930s. Later, Jacobsen's passion for teak would return in his first major international project, designing St Catherine College in Oxford and including the iconic St Catherine bench in the same material.
Made from carefully selected premium teak from Indonesia, the Tobias table is not only an aesthetic highlight but also a piece of furniture with a long lifespan. Our teak products are labelled with the Indonesian ‘Legal Wood’ certificate, which guarantees that only sustainably grown and responsibly harvested teak is used.
Over time, the teak takes on a beautiful silver-grey patina when exposed to sun and rain. The table requires no maintenance, but for those who want to preserve the deep, warm tone, the wood can be treated with teak oil.
With its generous dimensions of 205x91 cm, the Tobias table is a perfect gathering place for both intimate dinners and larger parties, whether on a terrace, in a garden or on a stylish outdoor terrace.
