Viken folding chair teak

Perhaps it is true; imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. If so, it is unlikely that any chair has flattered as much as Viken. When Gunilla Norin designed Viken in 1983, she wanted a practical and comfortable chair for her balcony. So she made one. Viken is the essence of an idea that, in retrospect, is so obvious it seems so simple: pull the seat up and the chair folds. But the structure is unusual, as it is made entirely of wood. There are no screws, frames or metal bars. What you see is what you get. And what you see is teak. Over the past thirty years, imitations and replicas have come and gone. Some people think it's the most copied of all chairs. And that may well be the case. When you buy Viken, you buy the original. And it is a very comfortable original chair in which to sit.
