The stand is made of hot-dip galvanised steel or painted steel to be able to stand outside all year round. The stand includes adjustable feet that allow the table to always stand stable.

The current CEO Karl Lindqvist's grandfather Artur was a blacksmith who switched from horse shoe production to furniture manufacturing. He bent the first chair for the Stockholm Exhibition in 1930, and then began manufacturing a whole series of garden furniture. Grythyttan Stålmöbler is the company behind the classic A2 chair with its delightful rocking motion. The A2 design has laid the foundation for a large part of Grythyttan Stålmöbler's range of outdoor furniture.
