The current CEO Karl Lindqvist's grandfather Artur was a blacksmith who switched from horse shoe production to furniture manufacturing. He bent the first chair for the Stockholm Exhibition in 1930, and then began manufacturing a whole series of garden furniture. Grythyttan Stålmöbler is the company behind the classic A2 chair with its delightful rocking motion.
