Description

Fåtölj A2 with solid spring steel from Grythyttan Stålmöbler.

The Trotjänaren is perhaps the most iconic piece of furniture associated with Grythyttan Stålmöbler. Designed in 1930 by Artur Lindqvist, it has been used in bars, outdoor cafés and gardens ever since. The solid spring steel frame ensures a long life and a soothing, well-balanced sway. Despite its armrests, the A2 chair is stackable and easy to store during the winter.

GRYTHYTTAN STÅLMÖBLER, A CLASSIC

Grythyttan Stålmöbler är a family business in direct descent. The current CEO Karl Lindqvist's grandfather Artur was the blacksmith who changed his specialisation from the production of horseshoes to the manufacture of furniture. He bent the first barrel for the Stockholm exhibition in 1930, and then began manufacturing a whole series of wooden furniture. Grythyttan Stålmöbler is the company behind the classic A2 chair with its gentle rocking motion. The A2 chair has laid the foundation for much of Grythyttan Stålmöbler's range of outdoor furniture.

TIME-LESS OUTDOOR FURNITURE

The design language is heavily influenced by the functionalism of the current era. Throughout history, all kinds of furniture such as school desks and camping tables have been produced, but the focus has always been on chairs, sofas and tables for outdoor use. Form and function have always characterised Grythyttan St å & lm ö & bler and the company's history is strongly linked to Swedish furniture history. The cultural heritage is managed and developed with pride, and today they are located in Grythyttan, in the beautiful forest landscape of Bergslagen.

Below you will find classic Grythyttan utemöbler.
