Description

Fåtölj A2 with solid spring steel from Grythyttan Stålmöbler.

The Trotjänaren is perhaps the most iconic piece of furniture associated with Grythyttan Stålmöbler. Designed in 1930 by Artur Lindqvist, it has been used in bars, outdoor cafés and gardens ever since. The solid spring steel frame ensures a long life and a soothing, well-balanced sway. Despite its armrests, the A2 chair is stackable and easy to store during the winter.

GRYTHYTTAN MÖBLER, A CLASSIC

Grythyttan Stålmöbler is a family business in a direct line of descent. The current CEO Karl Lindqvist's grandfather Artur was a blacksmith who switched from horse shoe production to furniture manufacturing. He bent the first chair for the Stockholm Exhibition in 1930, and then began manufacturing a whole series of garden furniture. Grythyttan Stålmöbler is the company behind the classic A2 chair with its delightful rocking motion. The A2 design has laid the foundation for a large part of Grythyttan Stålmöbler's range of outdoor furniture.

TIMELESS TRADITIONAL FURNITURE

The design language is strongly influenced by the functionalism of the time. Over the years, all kinds of furniture, such as school benches and camping tables, have been manufactured, but the focus has always been on chairs, sofas and tables for outdoor use. Form and function have always characterised Grythyttan Stålmöbler, and the company's history is closely linked to the history of Swedish furniture. This cultural heritage is proudly preserved and developed. Today, the company is still based in Grythyttan, in the beautiful forest landscape of Bergslagen.

Below you will find classic Grythyttan outdoor furniture.
